Creatively Incorrect: Dad Always Has an Explanation

It leans. Everybody can see that it leans. The little bubble in the level has made its position perfectly clear.

Dad would still like a chance to explain.

The wall is old. The floor settles. The house has character. He draws a diagram on the back of an envelope, then turns the envelope slightly until everything lines up.

"It's not wrong. It's creatively incorrect."

A book slides toward the end. Dad catches it, adds a bookend, and gives the shelf a satisfied little pat. There. An improvement nobody had even thought to ask for.

The family photo now stands at an interesting angle. Somehow, everyone in it looks as though they're listening to his explanation too.

Dad Approved because the shelf may lean, but his argument has excellent support.
