Dad and His Lawn Stripes: One More Look

Dad finished mowing twenty minutes ago. You can tell because he's been standing in the same spot for twenty minutes.

He takes a few steps left. Tilts his head. Walks upstairs to see how the stripes look from the bedroom window.

They look good. They looked good from the driveway, too. Still, a second opinion is important, so he's asking everyone in the house to come outside.

"See how they catch the light?"

He says the yard could host a major league game. Somebody points out the birdbath.

He takes a photo. Then another, without the hose in it. The family group chat receives an update nobody requested.

By evening, he's worked "just cut the lawn" into three unrelated conversations.

Dad Approved because those stripes are not going to admire themselves.
