My Worst Enema: Dad Versus Autocorrect

He was trying to send one perfectly ordinary message to the family group chat. A time. A place. Perhaps a reminder to bring the cooler. His phone decided the conversation needed a different direction.

Now the laughing faces are arriving faster than he can type.

Dad puts on his reading glasses, holds the phone a little farther away, and prepares a firm complaint about modern technology.

"Autocorrect has become my worst enema."

There is a brief pause in the chat. Then someone takes a screenshot.

Dad insists everybody knows what he meant. They do. They also know what they'll be reading aloud at Thanksgiving. He finally puts the phone down and starts laughing with them.

Dad Approved because his phone finally told a dad joke worth taking credit for.
