Retirement Jokes: Dad Has All Day for the Punchline
There is nowhere he needs to be, which has somehow made him available to everyone within earshot. The neighbor. The cashier. The person who only stopped to admire the tomatoes.
"I Know A Lot Of Retirement Jokes... But None Of Them Work."
He gives you a moment to appreciate it. Then another, because he has those now. The coffee stays hot. The calendar stays clear. His audience starts remembering errands.
By lunch, he has told it at the hardware store and called home to report how well it went. A polite smile counts. So does somebody shaking their head.
Tomorrow looks busy. There is a second cup of coffee to consider and a whole garden center that has not heard this one yet.
Dad Approved because he left the job and kept the material.
